Ranking the top 10 NFL players from the state of Ohio
9. James Harrison, LB (2002-17)
Harrison wasn’t just all muscle and a menacing glare.
However, those qualities helped the two-time first-team All-Pro strike fear into offensive opponents.
Deebo spent the majority of his 15-year odyssey with Pittsburgh, with whom he won a pair of Super Bowl crowns and a Defensive Player of the Year award. Known for his hard hits — he’s said he was fined around $225,000 for his career — Harrison epitomized the attitude of Steelers defenses during his tenure.
Harrison was born and attended high school in Akron, then played on the gridiron at Kent State. He started just eight games through his first four years in the NFL.
