9. Steve Nelson, LB
Born in Farmington, Nelson spent all 14 years of his career with the New England Patriots and was selected to three Pro Bowls. He recorded 100 or more tackles nine times and finished fifth in the 1980 defensive player of the year race behind three interceptions. Nelson retired with 1,776 total tackles and is a member of the Patriots Hall of Fame Class of 1993.
