10. Roger Wehrli, DB (1969-82)

With a 4.5-second 40-yard dash after the Hula Bowl, Wehrli improved his draft stock. After being taken by the Cardinals in the first round in 1969, the Pro Football Hall of Famer’s career took off in a similar way.

Wehrli finished as the runner-up in AP Rookie of the Year and blanketed pass-catchers for St. Louis for 14 years, leading or tying for the lead in interceptions for the team four times. He was a three-time first-team All-Pro and made seven Pro Bowls.

Wehrli’s 22 fumble recoveries are a franchise record for defensive players.
