Ranking the top 10 Arizona Cardinals in franchise history
5. Patrick Peterson, CB (2011-20)
Peterson took on the challenge of checking some of the NFL’s best receivers. He handled it to the tune of three first-team All-Pro selections in his first five seasons in Arizona.
Pat Pete reached eight straight Pro Bowls and picked off 28 passes as a Cardinal. His 91 passes defended rank second in franchise history behind Adrian Wilson, while his 447 solo stops are ninth.
Along with being one of the league’s best cover men as a newcomer — drafted fifth overall in 2011 — Peterson tied an all-time single-season record with four punt returns for a touchdown. He led the league in punt return yardage (699) as a rookie, as well.
