Kailey Wyckoff transferring: 5 possible landing spots
Texas Longhorns
Wyckoff would be just about two hours from home if she transferred to Austin and Texas could be an enticing landing spot with its recent success. The Longhorns won an impressive 55 games this past season and reached the finals of the Women’s College World Series for the second time in three years, falling just short to rival Oklahoma. In order to get over the hump and remain dominant as it moves to the SEC, Texas may need to add some reinforcements to its roster and Wyckoff could be a perfect fit. Mike White already has two young, talented players on the team who can play catcher with Reese Atwood and Katie Stewart, but Wyckoff would provide the Longhorns with additional roster flexibility and could help mask the loss of some important departing hitters like Bella Dayton, Joley Mitchell and Alyssa Washington.
