Pennsylvania HS football’s top 10 all-time receiving leaders
10. Tony Strasiser
Strasiser, a former 6-foot-6 wide receiver from North Star High School (2009-12), holds the tenth spot in the all-time Pennsylvania high school receiving records with 3,548 yards. He also tallied 182 career receptions and 31 touchdowns.
With college football offers in hand, Strasiser instead committed to playing baseball at West Virginia.
“Honestly, I changed my mind from talking to kids playing football,” Strasiser told The Tribune-Democrat about why he chose baseball over football. “They said it’s a lifestyle and that’s so true. It’s almost not fun because it demands so much of your time.”
Strasiser ended up playing one season of baseball with the Mountaineers.
