Jameson Taillon trade rumors swirl: 5 best fits for Cubs SP
New York Yankees
There might ultimately be a bidding war among AL East teams for Taillon and the Yankees could be an ideal landing spot for the starting pitcher. Taillon spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons in New York and was solid overall, particularly as he went 14-5 in his second season in the Bronx. Yankees’ officials reportedly raved about Taillon’s clubhouse presence while he was in New York which could lead the front office to want to bring him back as the franchise looks to end its World Series drought. The Yankees have stayed relatively healthy and have had one of the top pitching staffs in the majors this season between Luis Gil, Marcus Stroman, Nestor Cortes and Carlos Rodon. Adding another dominant arm like Taillon’s would give them one of the top rotations in the league down the stretch and perhaps help them end a recent cold spell.
