Yaroslav Askarov requests trade: 5 possible landing spots
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) – August is always a slow month in the NHL offseason, but there was some excitement Monday morning. Nashville Predators goaltender prospect Yaroslav Askarov requested a trade from the organization while also declaring that he would not report to the team’s minor-league affiliate.

The 22-year-old is arguably the top prospect at his position throughout the league and the No. 11 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft should have an interesting market.
The 6-foot-3 Russian goalie has played in three NHL games over the past two seasons and his path to get back to Nashville is crowded with long-time Preds’ star Juuse Saros and veteran backup Scott Wedgewood in front of him.
