Bellbrook-Sugarcreek’s athletic admin keeps teams running
BELLBROOK, Ohio — As the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools athletic and student services administrative assistant, I enjoy the diversity and fast pace of the position. Each day is unique.
I have the opportunity to regularly interact with students, staff and community members:
- Students see me with athletic and club questions and to purchase event tickets.
- Parents make payments, ask questions, and drop off/pick up items for their students.
- Older adults come see me for athletic passes and game schedules.
- I am in daily communication with our transportation department, to ensure that we cover all transportation needs and concerns.
This position requires flexibility. Fall is the busiest time of year, as our coaches, sports teams, clubs and groups gear up for the upcoming school year. There are times I need to stay in the office more, preparing for last-minute changes and updates. I also work intermittently throughout the summer months.
I love the people I work with! From Charlie O’Dell, our athletic director, to Ron Tirey in maintenance and everyone in between, we all work great together. Every individual plays an important role in getting things done.
Even though I have only filled this role for the past school year, I feel like this is where I am meant to be. I am proud to be a Golden Eagle!
