8. Alfred Williams, LB (1987-90)
Williams was the leader on defense during the team’s run to a national title in 1990, becoming the first player in program history to win the Dick Butkus Award after posting 12.5 sacks. Williams set the school record with 35 career sacks and earned two first-team All-American selections before spending nine seasons in the NFL. He entered the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
