The 27-year-old Canadian center and Tampa Bay Lightning winger Nikita Kucherov both accumulated 100 assists last season. It was the first time that anyone reached triple digits in the statistic since Wayne Gretzky did it in 1990-91. McDavid is coming off his first Stanley Cup Final appearance and he could be hungrier to have an even bigger campaign.
