Top 10 Virginia Cavaliers football players of all time

Through the first decade of the ACC, there wasn’t a more productive ball-carrier than Bakhtiar, an Iranian immigrant.
Bakhtiar, Virginia’s first three-time All-ACC performer, closed out his Cavaliers tenure with 2,434 rushing yards on 555 carries, along with nine 100-yard efforts. All were league bests at that time.
After leading the conference in ground yards in 1957, Bakhtiar was tapped as a first-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America. He played one year of professional football with the Canadian Football League’s Calgary Stampeders.
