Diontae Johnson expected to be traded: 5 possible landing spots
Dallas Cowboys
Jerry Jones hasn’t been aggressive recently but the Cowboys need a spark and perhaps that can come by acquiring Johnson. Money might be playing a role in some of Jones’ decisions after locking up Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to extensions in the offseason, but Johnson would provide an affordable rental option for the remainder of 2024. Dallas is one of the most pass-heavy teams in the NFL but lacks weapons at wide receiver behind CeeDee Lamb. Third-year wideout Jalen Tolbert has had a bit of an emergence, but Johnson would be a significant upgrade while allowing Tolbert to serve as an upside weapon in a No. 3 role. With no formidable rushing attack in sight, the Cowboys’ best option might be to load up with receiving weapons and Johnson could ultimately have a dramatic impact on Mike McCarthy’s offense.
