Diontae Johnson expected to be traded: 5 possible landing spots
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are a .500 team and have a relatively soft schedule ahead over the next few weeks that could put them in position to earn a wild-card spot in the AFC. However, the offense likely needs more weapons if Los Angeles wants to make a run, particularly at wide receiver. Expected No. 1 wideout Quentin Johnston continues to deal with injury, primarily leaving Joshua Palmer and rookie Ladd McConkey to handle the bulk of the team’s receiving work. McConkey has had a nice start to his NFL career but doesn’t seem to profile as a true No. 1 wideout in the league. Adding Johnson would bring a needed bonafide top target to Los Angeles’ offense and would allow the Chargers to stretch the field more. He also seems like a good fit with Justin Herbert, similar to what Keenan Allen was the last several years.
