UCLA begins the 2024-25 season as a top-five team and figures to be in national title contention throughout the year with a dynamic duo of Kiki Rice and Betts. The 6-foot-7 junior has emerged as one of the top centers in women’s college basketball with a breakout 2023-24 season after transferring to Los Angeles from Stanford. Betts nearly averaged a double-double last season, putting up 14.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, and shot an efficient 64% from the field, the fourth-best shooting percentage in the country. Betts makes her presence felt on the defensive end as a shot blocker as well, swatting away two shots per contest last season. The talented center should only continue to improve with more experience and could prove to be the top center in the country this season.
