Top 10 women’s college basketball players for the 2024-25 season
5. Aneesah Morrow, G, LSU
LSU endured some losses this offseason with Angel Reese going pro and Hailey Van Lith transferring to TCU. However, the Tigers still have an incredibly talented core featuring Flau’jae Johnson, Mikaylah Williams and Morrow. Johnson and Williams are undoubtedly two of the best players in women’s college basketball right now as well, but Morrow will likely lead the way in Baton Rouge this season. Following two terrific seasons at DePaul, Morrow made a seamless transition to the SEC under Kim Mulkey, posting 22 double-doubles while averaging 16.4 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.1 blocks. Morrow shot 46.4% from the field and increased shooting efficiency could lead to an All-American campaign this season. It also could help a potentially overlooked Tigers team make it back to the Final Four.
