Willy Adames’ free agency: 5 possible landing spots
MILWAUKEE (BVM) – Willy Adames has emerged as one of the best shortstops in the National League in recent years and will be one of the top MLB free agents available this offseason.
Adames began his MLB career with the Rays as a highly-touted prospect in 2018 but was dealt to the Brewers in 2021. The move has taken the shortstop’s career to new heights as Adames has been a staple of the Brewers’ offense since his arrival, hitting 20 home runs all four seasons in Milwaukee.
While playing on the final year of his contract this past season, Adames had a career year, hitting .251 with 32 home runs, 112 RBIs and a .794 OPS. The 29-year-old has yet to make an All-Star appearance but that could be on the horizon as he continues to prove that he is one of the top-hitting shortstops in the big leagues.
