Watson Named MAC Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's basketball fifth year guard Chellia Watson has been named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon. It is the first weekly honor for Watson and the Bulls this season. The preseason All-MAC First Team selection picked up right where she left off, as she averaged 27.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game while shooting 57% from the floor to lead Buffalo to a pair of wins to open the season.
