Smith was one of the rare returning players on Indiana’s football roster who didn’t get displaced after the coaching change, despite interest from big-name programs offering potentially large NIL deals. 

Pro Football Focus graded Smith as the Hoosiers’ highest-rated offensive lineman heading into the 2024 season. So far this season, his NIL valuation has fluctuated quite a bit – peaking at $705,000 before settling at $538,000 more recently. 

Roster value aside, Smith has capitalized on several NIL brand deals, which include a collaboration with Haggar Clothing and his role as an Adidas ambassador.
