Scheduling order issued by state Supreme Court, “play-in” games called off
MORGANTOWN — The state Supreme Court issued a scheduling order late Friday afternoon in the case that has delayed the West Virginia high school football playoffs by at least a week. The scheduling order requires parties from Wood County Circuit Court and Mason County Circuit Court to file a response to the writ of prohibition in the case by noon on Monday. Prior to the release of the scheduling order, neutral site “play-in” games in the Class AAA playoffs with Capital-Hampshire and Point Pleasant-St. Albans were called off.
