Top 10 Illinois boys basketball players in Class of 2025
9. Al Brooks Jr., SF, Rich Township
Brooks Jr. has perhaps been overlooked while playing at Hansberry in Class 2A but will have an opportunity to showcase his talent on a bigger stage at Rich Township this season. Brooks Jr. was named a second-team all-state performer at the 2A level last season and put up some eye-opening numbers as he averaged 23.5 points, 17.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He also posted 5.5 blocks and 3.2 steals per contest on the defensive end of the floor. The 6-foot-6 forward is a good ball handler and is very quick in the open floor as he excels in transition and off the dribble. He will be an exciting addition for the Raptors this season before heading off to play college basketball. Brooks Jr. is currently uncommitted but holds an offer from Illinois.
