Sure, everyone isn’t LeBron James, who attended Akron’s St.Vincent-St. Mary High School.
But, Clark Kellogg (Villa Angela-St. Joseph) bucketed an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) finals-record 51 points in 1979, then was the NBA’s No. 8 overall draft pick in 1982. Jared Sullinger (Northland) was a first-round draft choice in 2012. John Havlicek (Bridgeport) and Jerry Lucas (Middletown) are Basketball Hall of Famers.
