Knights fall in double OT marathon to Magic

Basketball was on tap for fans at St. Michael-Albertville High School on Dec. 3. The Knights girls’ team hosted the Monticello Magic for a doubleheader and the top 10 ranked battle. STMA was the No. 3 team in Class 4A and Monticello was No. 9 in Class 3A. It was buy one, get one free as Monticello junior Sam Voll sent the game to overtime with a free throw at the end of regulation. One overtime wasn’t enough and the Magic pulled away late to take down STMA 87-79.
