Michael Van Buren transferring: 5 possible landing spots
STARKVILLE, Miss. (BVM) – Mississippi State QB Blake Shapen was playing well to start the 2024 season despite the team’s record, but his campaign ended after he suffered an injury in the fourth game of the year. True freshman Michael Van Buren stepped in and played OK all things considered.
He threw for 1,886 yards and 11 touchdowns, but he did have seven interceptions.
Shapen has announced he will return to Starkville in 2025, and Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold has also been linked to the program. Van Buren entered the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday, and he could potentially be third on the depth chart next season.
These are the five schools that could use the SEC starting QB.
