Smartest NFL QBs in NFC South by GPA, degree, cognitive score
Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons
Cousins maintained a 4.0 GPA in high school before graduating from Michigan State with a degree in kinesiology and a 3.68 GPA. He scored 33/50 (above average) on the Wonderlic test from the 2012 NFL combine.
Reflecting on the value of work ethic, Cousins shared on Instagram, “Sometimes our guests ask why I have this (an old math quiz) hanging above my desk. It’s when I didn’t study at all and got a C+… Just a subtle reminder to me of the importance of preparation. If I don’t prepare I get C’s!”
Seven years into his NFL career, Cousins returned to Michigan State to deliver the Class of 2019’s commencement speech, where he was also given an honorary doctorate in humanities.
