Smartest NFL QBs in NFC South by GPA, degree, cognitive score
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
Young achieved a 3.28 GPA in high school, posted a 4.0 GPA during his first semester of college, and graduated within three years from the University of Alabama with a psychology degree.
He told Sports Illustrated that his favorite class was social psychology. He noted that the course helped him “self-reflect on how you’re processing things socially and also how others perceive things and tend to act socially – (which is) really applicable.”
Young scored 98% on his S2 Cognition test, which was the highest among all quarterback prospects in 2023, according to senior NFL reporter Albert Breer. It’s so challenging to achieve that it’s among the highest scores in NFL history.
