Women’s Basketball: Raiders Fall on the Road in OAC Play

WILMINGTON, Ohio—The Mount Union women’s basketball fell on the road 69-62 to Wilmington in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon. The Purple Raiders (3-5, 0-3 OAC) were led by Elizabeth Mason (Alliance / Marlington) with 20 points and Kayla Ferancy with 11 points. Wilmington (3-5, 1-2 OAC) was led by Gabby Russell with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Alaiya Meaux finished with 15 points. A tough shooting first quarter saw Mount Union connect on three field goals while Wilmington connected on five along with five free throws to lead 18-7.
