SPRING CREEK, Nev. — A Q&A with Lelanyd Lorenzo Bautista, an 18-year-old football player at Spring Creek High School.

We think you’re super. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Lelanyd Lorenzo Bautista: I would be a time traveler.

If you could take a trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Bautista: I would like to visit my grandparent’s ranch in Zacatecas, Mexico.

What is your favorite activity?

Bautista: My favorite thing to do is to play basketball

Describe something you would never change about yourself.

Bautista: I think one thing I wouldn’t change about myself is the fact that I can get along with anyone.

What do you love about living here?

Bautista: I enjoy the supportive community and people in the area.

What do you do to show kindness?

Bautista: I try to treat everyone with respect, kindness and empathy.

When you close your eyes and dream about your future, what does that look like?

Bautista: I am not exactly sure what I want to do in the future. I have changed my mind a few times as I am still figuring out what things I enjoy or dislike doing.

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

Bautista: My favorite teacher is Miss Lister because she treats everyone with respect and kindness.

Ask someone in your family to describe you with one word. Who did you pick and what word did they use?

Bautista: My sister Delilah’s one word she used to describe me was “humble.”

What is your favorite movie?

Bautista: I don’t really have a favorite movie because I don’t watch a lot of TV.

What is your favorite food?

Bautista: My favorite food is birria de chivo.

What is the #1 thing you are grateful for?

Bautista: I am most grateful for my parents.
