Ranking each SEC basketball team entering conference play
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (BVM) – The SEC is typically one of the top conferences in college basketball, but the league appears to be at another level through the first couple months of the 2024-25 season.
Entering conference play, all 16 SEC teams have won at least 10 games and have suffered no more than three losses. Ten conference teams are currently ranked in the AP Top 25, with four squads in the top six. The SEC also features three of the four remaining undefeated teams in Division I college basketball.
Several SEC teams have picked up signature victories during the non-conference season and will have a chance to do so again as conference play begins. With the depth of talent across the league this year, fans may be treated to one of the most competitive seasons the conference has seen.
