Georgia quarterback options for 2025 college football season
Ryan Montgomery
Montgomery is another freshman quarterback entering the fold at Georgia in 2025 as a four-star recruit who sits at No. 108 in 247Sports’ composite rankings. Montgomery would be a likelier candidate to challenge for reps in Athens in 2025 had he not torn his ACL in his final prep season at Findlay High School in Ohio this past season. Perhaps the lone positive of the injury is that it occurred in the Trojans’ season opener in August, and Montgomery’s rehab appears to be progressing well. Before the injury, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback was a Mr. Football candidate as one of the best signal callers in the Buckeye State, throwing for 3,377 yards and 38 touchdowns during his junior season. Montgomery has a big arm and could ultimately be the future of Georgia’s quarterback room, but the injury might push that timeline back a bit.
