Ranking the 10 greatest Boston Celtics players of all time
3. John Havlicek, SF (1962-78)
Havlicek’s two-way ability led to 11 All-NBA selections, eight all-defensive selections, eight championships and an NBA Finals MVP award in 16 seasons in Boston. The NBA 75th Anniversary Team member is the franchise leader in points and games played and ranks second in assists. Havlicek concluded his career with 20.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game and joined the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984.
Happy birthday in heaven John Havlicek. Boston Celtics. Champion. You are dearly missed but never forgotten.
Hondo: Two championships without Russell. One Finals MVP. 8-0 in NBA Finals total. Superstar.
