Rams ‘seeking’ Cooper Kupp trade: 5 possible landing spots
LOS ANGELES (BVM) – The Los Angeles Rams are “seeking a trade immediately” for former All-Pro wide receiver Cooper Kupp. On Monday, Kupp broke the news himself on social media, stating that while he doesn’t agree with the decision, the Rams will work with him “to find the right place to continue competing for championships.”
I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA.

Kupp has spent the last eight seasons in Los Angeles after being selected 69th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Eastern Washington. The 6-foot-2 wideout racked up an impressive 634 receptions, 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns across eight seasons with the Rams, highlighted by a record-setting 2021 campaign where he was named a first-team All-Pro and NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Kupp made 145 receptions for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns that season, helping the Rams win Super Bowl LVI as the game’s MVP.
Injuries have slowed the 31-year-old since his remarkable 2021 campaign as he has not exceeded more than 812 receiving yards over the last three seasons. Puka Nacua has also emerged as the Rams’ No. 1 target, perhaps making Kupp more expendable this offseason.
Kupp will be in the second year of a three-year contract extension he signed following the 2021 season in 2025. While his contract can be renegotiated, a team that deals for him would obtain his $20 million salary next season and $19.85 million in 2026. Even with the high salary numbers, Kupp figures to have several interested trade suitors as a still productive and “highly motivated” wideout heading into 2025. Here are five landing spots for Kupp if he is traded.
