Surratt is arguably the greatest Texas high school football coach of all time. In 18 seasons, he’s led Carthage to a 234-31 record, 10 titles and eight playoff losses. Surratt became the winningest head coach in Texas state championship history following Carthage’s 2024 Class 4A-II victory.
