The Cardinals largely flew under the radar in 2024 but were a competitive eight-win team that remained in the NFC West hunt through most of the season. While Arizona has some solid pieces in place offensively, it could look to spend on the defensive side of the ball this offseason. The Cardinals had a middle-of-the-road defense overall in 2024 and weren’t bad when it came to rushing the quarterback, ranking 13th in the league with 41 sacks on the year. However, the team still lacks a game-changing edge rusher as no player had more than five sacks this past season. Arizona could also lose several pass rushers in free agency, including L.J. Collier, Dennis Gardeck and Baron Browning. Landry III would be a significant upgrade to pursue and could be a missing piece that the Cardinals need to truly contend in the NFC West.
