Jaguars releasing Christian Kirk: 5 landing spots for veteran WR
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have been in the market for a wide receiver for some time now and Kirk could have potentially been a player they made a move for at last year’s trade deadline had he not suffered a season-ending injury in Week 8. Perhaps Pittsburgh will again explore adding the 28-year-old wideout this offseason, who could prove valuable in Arthur Smith’s offense. Despite a 10-win season in 2024, Pittsburgh often fell flat offensively, ranking just 23rd in the league in total yards per game (319.4) and 27th in passing yards per contest (192). The Steelers’ quarterback situation remains uncertain, but adding a reliable veteran like Kirk would seem to benefit whoever starts under center in 2025. Kirk would be a nice complement to George Pickens and could also help mentor the young receiver.
