Top 10 Virginia high school baseball players in Class of 2025
10. Nick Newburn, RHP, Langley
Virginia is loaded with talented senior pitchers, but Newburn’s ceiling is as high as any other flamethrowers in the Old Dominion State. The McLean, Virginia, righthander is 6-foot-6 with a fastball in the low 90s. It is easy to imagine Newburn adding velocity as he matures. The Pennsylvania commit also has a good changeup and manages to throw strikes.
Nick Newburn ('25, VA) settled in nicely during his second inning of work. Long, lanky frame at 6-6/200. FB sat 88-92 mph. Showed the ability to kill spin on SPL at 82-83 mph (~1050 rpm). Also mixed in a SL at 77-80 mph. #Penn commit #PGNational @PG_VirginiaWV pic.twitter.com/J87SkTbE30
