Rodney Terry ‘likely’ out: 5 Texas basketball coaching candidates
AUSTIN, Texas (BVM) – The Texas Longhorns dropped their NCAA Tournament play-in game on Wednesday and it could have major repercussions. College basketball insider Jeff Goodman reported following the game that “Texas is likely to make a move” on its head coach.
Rodney Terry took over the program after Chris Beard’s firing in 2022 and led the Longhorns to their first Elite Eight appearance since 2008. However, Texas has regressed since, barely making the NCAA Tournament this season.
The Longhorns should attract some interesting candidates, but these five coaches should be taken the most seriously.
