Bryce Hopkins transferring: 5 landing spots for All-Big East forward

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (BVM) – Bryce Hopkins is entering the transfer portal after three seasons at Providence

Hopkins, a former four-star prospect in the Class of 2021 out of Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois, began his collegiate career at Kentucky before transferring to Providence ahead of his sophomore year. His first season with the Friars would be the best of his collegiate career to this point as he was named first-team All-Big East while averaging 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward put up similar numbers during his junior season but played in just 14 games before suffering a torn ACL. Hopkins suited up for just three contests during the 2024-25 season before sitting out the rest of the year with a bone bruise, averaging 17 points, 7.7 rebounds and three assists.

While injuries have been a concern, Hopkins will still be one of the most talented early entrants into the portal and could have a big impact on several teams if he can stay healthy. Here are five landing spots for Hopkins.
