Bryce Hopkins transferring: 5 landing spots for All-Big East forward
UConn Huskies
UConn hasn’t found the same gear in 2024-25 that it has had the past two seasons as back-to-back national champions. The players it lost last offseason are a big reason why, but regardless, Dan Hurley will likely retool his roster in the coming weeks, and taking a flyer on Hopkins could prove beneficial for the Huskies. UConn has a strong incoming recruiting class with four top-100 recruits, but it may lose arguably its most valuable player from this season, forward Liam McNeeley, who is expected to be a first-round pick in the NBA draft. Hopkins’ skill set is different from that of McNeeley, but he could play a significant role on both ends of the floor for Hurley. One connection for Hopkins to UConn is Hurley’s assistant, Luke Murray, who recruited Hopkins out of high school while he was on Chris Mack’s staff at Louisville.
