Michael Rataj transferring: 5 landing spots for All-WCC forward
CORVALLIS, Ore. (BVM) – Oregon State forward Michael Rataj has entered the transfer portal after three seasons with the Beavers.
Rataj, who grew up in Germany, committed to Oregon State in 2021 and earned 16 starts as just a freshman during the 2022-23 season. Rataj became a regular starter for the Beavers during his sophomore year, but it wasn’t until the 2024-25 campaign that he broke through.
The 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward averaged a team-leading 16.9 points for the 20-win Beavers and led them in rebounds (7.2), steals (1.6) and blocks (0.6) per contest. Rataj also shot a career-high 48.4% from the field and 35.1% from 3-point range while being named a first-team All-WCC performer.
The two-way forward will now look for a new home to close his college career and is an interesting name to watch in the portal coming off a terrific junior season. Here are five landing spots for Rataj.
