The Tar Heels barely squeaked into the NCAA Tournament this month. Point guard Elliot Cadeau is headed to the transfer portal after starting 68 games in Chapel Hill.

North Carolina head coach Hubert Davis said his team needs to get bigger this offseason. They’ve targeted Indiana transfer Malik Reneau as a forward addition. With Cadeau’s departure, he certainly wouldn’t turn away a player like Demary, who would be moving closer to home by joining the Tar Heels.
