5. Paul Waner, RF (1926-40)
Waner became the first Pirate to win NL MVP honors, doing so in his second season behind a league-leading 237 hits, 131 RBIs and a .380 batting average. The three-time batting champion ranks among the top five in organization history in several categories, including hits with 2,868, walks with 909 and RBIs with 1,177. Waner entered the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1952.
