9. Sam Crawford, RF/1B (1903-17)
Crawford garnered MVP votes in four seasons and played at least 137 games in all but two years in Detroit. He led the AL in triples six times, RBIs three times and doubles once while posting a batting average over .300 eight times. Crawford, MLB’s all-time leader in triples, ranks second among Tigers with 249 triples, third with 318 stolen bases and fifth with 2,466 hits. He entered the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1957.
