#15/18 Maine picks up road win at #6 Denver

DENVER – The #15/18 University of Maine men's ice hockey team earned a 5-2 win over #6 Denver on Friday night at Magness Arena. After a scoreless first period, Lukas Peterson's deflected point shot gave Maine a 1-0 lead at the 3:41 mark of the middle frame. Five minutes later, Sully Scholle's odd-man-rush wrist shot made it 2-0. The teams then combined for five goals in the third period, with two coming from Thomas Pichette .
