Canada’s Stephen Gogolev and the rest of the men’s figure skating field will need something special to catch Ilia Malinin of the United States. Gogolev, 21, scored an 87.41 in the men’s short program at the Olympic Winter Games on Tuesday and sits in 10th place. He is well behind Malinin, who is in first place after a breathtaking performance that saw him score 108.16.
