Sweden beats U.S. in Olympic mixed doubles gold-medal game

Sweden is back on top of the Olympic curling podium. Siblings Isabella and Rasmus Wrana beat Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse of the U.S. 6-5 in the mixed doubles final on Tuesday at Milano Cortina 2026. Sweden won gold in men’s curling in 2022 and in women’s in 2018, 2010 and 2006. The country won bronze in the second edition of mixed curling at the 2022 Olympics before jumping up two spots this year. Sweden’s five overall curling gold medals trail only Canada (six).
