SKI: Bouchard posts career-best finish at Williams Carnival slalom
HANCOCK, Mass. – Sophomore Laurence Bouchard (Québec City, Québec) used a huge second run to post a career-best result and lead the Plymouth State University alpine ski teams in the slalom at the Williams Carnival at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort on Saturday. Bouchard ranked 16th in the morning but crushed her second run in 49.56 seconds – the fourth-fastest of the afternoon – to surge into 11th. Her previous best slalom finish was 34th. On the men’s side, sophomore Alvin Guteland Beiming (Södertälje, Sweden) and freshman Hjalmar Nyman (Stockholm, Sweden) also used big afternoon performances to vault up the leaderboard.…
