Hudson baseball blanks Jasper in season opener

Hudson took a 6-0 win over Jasper Monday afternoon in the season opener for both teams. The Hornets got strong pitching from Ace Horan, Cayne Powers and Matteo Enriquez, who combined to allow just two Jasper hits. Horan pitched the first two innings, Powers pitched three and got the win and Enriquez pitched the final two innings. Aiden Bonacci, Ty Riggs, Rhyder Allbritton and Karter Wagoner all had two hits for the Hornets. Jase Dickerson had two RBIs with a single and squeeze bunt.
