Burke Wins Heptathlon Title at DIII New England Championships; D’Amico Places Second

MEDFORD, Mass. – Seniors Christian Burke (York, Maine) and Michael D'Amico (Caribou, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine men's track & field program took the top two spots on the podium in the heptathlon on Saturday at the NCAA Division III New England Championships at Tufts University. Burke is the first Husky to win the New England title in the event since C.J. Moody in 2019. Burke's score of 4,822 points ranks fourth in program history behind three performances by Moody.
