Hayes Named American Player of the Week

IRVING – Following a tremendous week, Shelby Hayes was named the American Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. Hayes led the Owls to a 2-0 week and the American Conference regular season title with wins at Temple and against Tulsa. Hayes first dropped 19 points, on 8-of-11 shooting, with two steals and a rebound at Temple. She followed that with 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a steal against Tulsa.
